Each December, we offer a free toy shop, with gift wrap, holiday treats, and pictures with Santa. Many of our military families live on the border of the poverty level, so the gifts are a huge help. We accept new toy donations year-round. Volunteer Lead: Sandy Zwicker
Serving a hot meal on U.S. soil before a troops' departure is one way to show appreciation. We offer an assortment of free items, including Christian resources, to each deploying serviceman or woman as they commence their long trip. We also support their families as they anxiously send off their loved ones. Volunteer Lead: Diane Reece
For returning single Marines, we decorate and prep barracks with greetings, fresh towels, toiletries & baked goods just before they are due back on base to surprise them with a fresh, welcoming room. Volunteer Lead: Diane Reece
We offer a welcome time of love & acceptance for spouses of deployed soldiers and their young children. In addition to serving coffee, we sponsor crafts, activities & raffle prizes. Volunteer Leads: Sherie Dunbar & Carol Bruton
Divorce in the military skyrockets to +80%, and many times spouses live like a single parent with the added stress of deployments. This group makes a home-cooked meal and serves it on base to support 6-8 parenting and relationship workshops given by the chaplain each year.
